RRR bags Best International Film at Hollywood Critics Association Awards

• The film has won the Best Action Film and Best International Film categories at the recently held Hollywood Critics Association
• 'RRR' also won the Best Stunt and Best Action Film categories
• Meanwhile, the movie recently received a nomination for the Best Action Movie category for the upcoming Critics Choice Super Awards

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli's RRR continues to be an international success after a historic win at the Golden Globes and Los Angeles Critics Awards. Now, the film has won the Best Action Film and Best International Film categories at the recently held Hollywood Critics Association. The film also placed in the Best Stunt and Best Song ("Naatu Naatu") categories.

Accepting the award on stage, Rajamouli said, “Aaah! Best International Film... Again, to all my fellow filmmakers in India, it's up to all of us to believe that we can actually make international films! Thank you HCA for this…it means a lot. Thank you so much...so much. Jai Hind.”

While Jr NTR was not present, Ram Charan added, “I didn't expect to go (on stage) because my director told me to accompany him, so...thank you so much for giving us all that love, it's just great response, so we will come back with better movies and entertain you all. Thank you very much, thank you HCA.”

Set in pre-independent India, the film follows a fictional story based on two legendary freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem. The film also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in lead roles.

The film's lead actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR have received Best Actor nominations for the upcoming Critics Choice Super Awards 2023. Apart from this, the film is also competing in the Best Original Song category at the upcoming Oscars.
